We are happy to announce that the Regional Environmental Health Officer has given the green light for Olympic to reopen on Tuesday 19th May. This is contingent on us adhering to certain rules and regulations. All of us have a stake in safeguarding our community against coronavirus, therefore we would appreciate if you carefully read and adhere to the following new procedures. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.

New and Existing Protocol:

Masks are mandatory at all times for all patrons entering the gym.

The number of patrons that can be in the gym at any one time is now limited to 17. This will operate on a first come first serve basis and once at maximum capacity, we will implement a “one out, one in” waitlist system: You will be asked to wait in your vehicle to be called in. Alternately you may return later and/or call ahead to check how busy we are. In light of this, we ask that you keep your workouts to within a 90-minute window, and please use only one piece of equipment at a time i.e. strictly no supersets.

As was the case before our closure, upon arrival you will be issued with your own personal bottle of sanitizer and a clean cloth; Please do not share these (not even with members of your household). All equipment, weights and buttons are to be wiped down thoroughly before and after use. Please return these to reception before you depart to be disinfected for the next person.

You will notice that some of the cardio equipment will have “Not in Use” signs in order to maintain adequate social distancing. This rule applies throughout the gym, so leave a free piece of equipment between you and the person next to you; and again, no sharing. Moreover, please refrain from moving any apparatus (benches etc.). In addition to this, our showers are no longer in use. Washrooms are for lavatory and handwashing use only (Please come dressed to workout!)

We understand that some of you may be inconvenienced by our new changes but we assure you that we are following Island Health’s guidelines, which are vital for us to remain open.

If you have any questions or enquiries, please don’t hesitate to email us or call us at (250) 597-4469 during our new staffed hours. We look forward to welcoming you back and thank you for your continued support.

Stay safe,

Joel and Bobby
